    Daily Editorials

These editorials first appeared in the Albuquerque Journal. They were written by editorial page staff and are unsigned as they represent the opinion of the newspaper rather than the writers.

Good Policing Isn't Change for Sake of It
Mayor-elect Richard Berry campaigned on a platform of change, blasting the city's record on property crime and its status as a so-called sanctuary city. Once elected, he decided to keep the same police chief who's tackled property crime and illegal immigrant criminals in Albuquerque since 2005.   (Saturday, November 21, 2009)

    Revise Ethics Code
The Bernalillo County ethics board hasn't heard a complaint since 1995. It didn't even have a meeting between 1999 and this fall. Perhaps that's because there's been nothing to complain about.   (Saturday, November 21, 2009)
